Lent 2016 begins this Wednesday 10 FebruaryHow time flies! We are once more nearly at the start of the holy season of Lent. If you didn’t get a lent leaflet outlining our lent activities last week, please pick up a copy at the back of church. On Ash Wednesday we celebrate the beginning of Lent 2016 with a special Mass at 7pm. As you are already aware, Lent is a time of penitence and discipline where through the Imposition of ashes we are reminded of our mortality. However, Lent is also a time for growth and healing, a time of deepening and renewing our relationship with God – it is a time where we can make a spiritual journey and develop fresh insights about our relationship with God, ourselves and our neighbours.
